New software-update for Danfoss Link™ CC ready for download (software 2.5.57)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Danfoss is ready with a new software update for the Danfoss Link™ CC unit giving the consumer the possibility of getting an even better control of the heating system in their home.

Top feature updates in software 2.5.57 are: 

• New and extended temperature control making it possible to configure for special heating applications, where the radiator is hidden behind bars, a furniture or similar. A new menu in the installation mode provides the possibility to configure how the radiator is placed: Visible, Covered or in a Trench. Important Note: The new menu will only appear with use of living connect sw 3.02 and when a Danfoss Link™ Room Sensor is installed in the room

• Support of Danfoss Link™ SCM (Simple Communication Module). The SCM can wirelessly enable and disable Away mode (Holidaymode) on the Danfoss Link™ CC. Danfoss Link™ SCM will be introduced in September/ October 2012

• The Away icon (suitcase) is only displayed for 10 minutes to avoid showing that nobody is at home

Many installed Danfoss Link CC™ have software 2.1.xx or 2.3.xx, so here is a recap of the top feature updates in software 2.4.51. These features are also included in software 2.5.57:

• Boiler control making it possible to turn oil and gas boilers on and off depending on the heating demand. Rather than heating all rooms at all times, the boiler will only be turned on when specific rooms call for heat

• Improved network test to make sure that there is sufficient signal strength between all the devices in the network communicating with the Danfoss Link™ CC unit. The test indicates if it is relevant to add one or more repeaters to the network in order to optimize the system

• Disable rooms for cooling (via a Danfoss Link™ Hydronic Controller). If the consumer uses his hydronic floor heating to cool down the house during warm days the disabling function makes it possible to deselect single rooms and keep a higher temperature in some rooms (for example in the bathrooms)

• Turkish language is added

Besides this a number of minor ‘bugs’ that we have been able to identify with the former version of the software has been fixed.
